Now, why do men need makeup? The simple answer is, because men are only human.  Nobody has perfect skin. A little makeup goes a long way to making you look good on camera, or in public.

How to Apply Professional Makeup for Men

•    Clean with wipes

•    Mask the lips –Apply a mask to even out the blemishes on the lips and put them in good condition. Leave on for 2 mins then wipe off and apply a balm.

•    Work on the brows – All you need do is comb up and down and trim with your scissors. Use your tweezers to pluck out the distracting hairs.

•    Work on the lashes- These are needed if only the lashes are scattered and need some help… lol.

•    Skin preparation
-    Removing excess oil/oil control lotion/oil mattifier
-    Apply a moisturizer appropriate for the skin colour

Base selection and application

-    Concealer –To hide minor imperfections like blackheads or spots.
-    Foundation – This usually comes before the powder to help in smoothing the skin surface.
-    Powdering – This is the final stage, apply after the foundation.

Note that this is only important if there are occasions like photo sessions, musical videos, weddings, TV programs, movies, or pageants of any sort. Not for day to day activities.

Remember it only takes attention and dedication to know the tricks of the trade.
